How To Fasten
- Screw the Smartslat Base to the post or gate frame (depending on the application) using self drilling screws as shown below
- Note: Class 3 Coated fasteners are recommended as these have greater protection against weathering
- Two self drilling screws should be used on the base wherever there is a post or frame (depending on the application)
- Once you have fastened the base slat to the gate or frame, clip the end caps on both ends.
- Simply clip the Smartslat cover onto the base. (click to view how to use smartslat tool)
- Push the cover onto the base at each end at the mounting points
