RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Never leave Smartslat in direct sunlight as this will make the plastic hard to remove
  • Please peel the protective plastic before fixing the slats into position. Click here to view peeling plastic instructions. Plastic is only on the smartslat covers.
  • It is best not to use a grinder to cut the slat. Use a cold cut method of cutting. Eg.Tinsnips, Hacksaw or Cold Cut Saw
  • Use a spacer to set the gap between the slats
  • Class 3 coated fasteners are recommended for fixing the slats to the posts.
  • If using smartslat as a balustrade or awning, you should have it approved by a structural Engineer,
